The Maintenance Technician will report to and provide a daily summary of work the Maintenance Supervisor/Lead Hand and will be assigned work by the maintenance planner as needed. This position has a requirement to do some overtime when requested. The electrician will be an active member of the maintenance team. This job does not directly supervise anyone, but may indirectly supervise an apprentice electrician on an infrequent basis. Technicians with the ability to troubleshoot PLC are a plus!

We have 4 vacancies, 2 on day shift and 2 on night shift. 

Rotating 12-hour schedule 6:00am - 6:30pm (DAYS) and 6:00pm - 6:30am (NIGHTS)

  • 36 hours for week one, 48 hours for week two. Overtime available.
  • Workdays are “locked in” throughout the calendar year from Jan 1 – Dec 31.
  • Each team has a designated and supportive Lead present on the shift.
  • Every 2nd weekend is a long weekend (26 weekends off per year)!
  • Less workdays per month – you will normally never work longer than 3 days in a row, (unless requested or if you volunteer for extra coverage)
  • Reduce wear and tear on your vehicles (less commute).

Essential Functions

  • The Maintenance Electrician’s prime responsibility is the maintenance, repair, and continuously improvement of all packaging and process/bakery machinery and systems in a safe efficient manner.
  • The elimination of breakdowns is of prime importance.
  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as: transformers, motors and lighting fixtures
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as: relays, switches, motors and positions sensing devices
  • Performs routine work assignments competently in the following disciplines:
  • Instrumentation
  • Packaging and Process Control System
  • P-L-C able to connect and go on line, replacing input/output cards


Required Education and Experience

  • Technical College or Vocational training an asset
  • Licensed by the Department of Safety & Professional Services
    • Wisconsin Industrial Electrical Apprentice Registration (supervised under the general supervision of a licensed Master Electrician).



Preferred Education and Experience

  • Licensed by the Department of Safety & Professional Services
    • Licensed Master Electrician
    • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
    • Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician
